Grades and Colts (U20)
The Club has a very strong tradition of success in Grades and Colts (U20) rugby.
UQ Rugby is one of the most successful rugby clubs in Australia – winning 32 x 1st Grade Premierships, 7 x Women’s Premierships.
This success includes 12 Wallaby Captains including Tate McDermott, Stephen Moore, James Horwill and Nathan Sharpe.
The Club currently field 12 teams – 1st – 6th Grade, Women’s, Colts 1-5.
The Grades and Colts rugby programs cater for players of all skill levels.
The Club competes in the Queensland Premier Rugby competition, which runs from April – September each year.

Women’s Rugby
UQ Women’s Rugby is one of the longest running programs in Australia. Through many decades of success, the Women’s team have secured 7 Premierships.
One of the fastest growing parts of the Club, our Women’s Program welcomes new players, no matter what your skill level.

7's Rugby
UQ Rugby has a very successful history in Sevens Rugby. The Club has recently won 2 x AON 7’s National Titles and several placings in the Queensland Premier 7’s competition.
The Club has produced many successful 7’s players including Olympic Gold Medallist – Emily Cherry, and current Australian Men’s 7’s captain – Nick Malouf.
The Club competes in the Queensland Premier 7’s competition which runs from September – November each year.

Wheelchair Rugby
The UQ Wheelchair Rugby Team are current back-to-back National League Champions.
With the support of Sporting Wheelies, the UQ team won the titles in 2022 and 2023 having played in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
The team is led by dual Olympic Gold Medallist and captain of the Australian Steelers – Chris Bond.
